OUR MANIFESTO

Dear sister, How many times have we been witnesses or victims of the sufferings and silences which affect the daily life of women? Realizing this also means realizing the courage it takes to become a woman.

Each day that we free ourselves from the gaze and the perception imposed on us by the other, We become Woman. Each day that we refuse to let ourselves be affected by the projections of others, We become Woman. Every day that we break free from the barriers that hinder our vital need to accomplish ourselves, We become Woman. Each day that we join another woman in her becoming, We become woman.

We believe that being a fully woman is being able to act and think for yourself, it is being able to put yourself back at the center of your own life, it is to embody your freedom, whatever the meaning you want it give. But we cannot do this without understanding the need to build a new vision, that of a world by us and for us, that of a community of women together in the sisterhood. Welcome to the community !

OUR FOUNDER

I have found in fashion and in creation tools for emancipation that I want to share with other women. Fashion has always been my first impetus towards personal, interpersonal and cultural communication. Just as it has been in time and space, an opportunity for women to meet, to share and to create links; a “safe place” where they can talk to each other, discuss the problems that concern them, advise each other and create alliances. All my childhood and my adult life, I have witnessed the suffering and silence of women, the image problem that affects their esteem and perception of themselves as much as it puts a brake on, sometimes annihilates everything. desire for personal fulfilment.

I reproduced these cycles myself until I gradually learned to deconstruct limiting stereotypes and worked to resolve my image problem, aided by education and inspired by the journeys of other women. Because I firmly believe that every woman deserves to live her life on her own terms, because every woman has the fundamental right to think and act for herself, today, my passions, my commitments and my professional choices revolve around the condition of women.

Niango was born from a desire to combine my African culture, my passion for fashion, my commitment to women and my profession in economic and community development in the same project. I invite anyone willing to contribute to join me in this mission.
